The State Assembly of Bashkiria plans to adopt a law to develop military, service, and mass sports. The bill was adopted in the first reading at the final meeting of the spring session, and the final reading is scheduled for autumn, the press service of the republican parliament reports.
According to Konstantin Tolkachev, Chairman of the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkiria, the bill gives government bodies legal grounds to assist in military-applied and service-applied sports at the expense of budgetary funds. There will also be more opportunities to hold amateur sports competitions. Executive authorities and local governments will be able to transfer premises and sports facilities to the organizers of amateur competitions free of charge or for rent on preferential terms for holding such events.
