Ufa fencing center readiness has reached 72%

Construction of a fencing center in Ufa is progressing according to schedule. As announced by the Minister of Sports of Bashkiria, Ruslan Khabibov, the sports facility is 72% ready.

Currently, the building of the future fencing center is undergoing interior finishing work, storm and domestic sewage systems are being installed, and the surrounding area is being landscaped.

The launch of the fencing center is planned for October this year.

“According to the Russian Fencing Federation, specialized fencing equipment is already ready and is now in warehouses in Moscow. As soon as the gyms are ready, the equipment will be sent to Bashkortostan,” added Ruslan Khabibov.

The Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, said the Fencing Center of Bashkiria will be one of three extensive sports facilities commissioned for the 450th anniversary of Ufa. In addition, introducing a modern sports facility will coincide with the international forum “Russia is a Sports Power,” which will be held in the regional capital this fall.
