Athletes from Bashkiria joined Russian National Team to participate in 2024 Nomad Games

Askar Ishberdin and Rushan Khasanov from Bashkiria joined the Russian national team to participate in the V World Nomad Games. The Ministry of Sports of the Republic reported that athletes will compete in horseback archery.

Qualifying competitions for participation in the 2024 Nomad Games occurred yesterday in Kalmykia. Askar Ishberdin took third place in the Kabak/Turkish event, Rushan Khasanov took second place in the Hungarian event, and third in the Korean event.

The Ministry of Sports clarified that Bashkir athletes Askar Ishberdin, Rushan Khasanov, and Ainur Nizametdinov occupied the entire Kazakh-style/jamba pedestal.

The 2024 Nomad Games will be held in Kazakhstan on September 8–14 this year.

At the World Nomad Games in Astana, athletes compete in 20 competitive and 10 demonstration sports. These include horse racing, national types of wrestling, traditional intellectual games, competitions in martial arts, traditional archery, national types of bird hunting, horse competitions, folk games, and demonstration performances in ethnic sports, the Bashinform News Agency reported.

According to preliminary data, the competition will have about 4,000 participants from more than 100 countries.
