Last day of BRICS Games brought Bashkiria six gold medals at once
On the final day of the BRICS Games, athletes from Bashkiria won six gold medals simultaneously. The Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, spoke about their successes on social networks.
Azalia Amineva, a Russian boxing star from Oktyabrsky, confidently defeated her opponent from China in the final. Our foil players won two medals. Timur Safin and Vladislav Zhuravlev defeated athletes from the Republic of Belarus in the team championship finals of the BRICS Games in foil. Belt wrestlers Alina Pukhova, Zamira Kusaeva, and Ainur Syrtaev brought three more awards of the highest standard to the Russian national team.
“I congratulate all our athletes and their coaches on the triumph of Bashkir sports. Go Russia! Alga, Bashkortostan!” wrote Radiy Khabirov.
