IX All-Russian Summer Universiade finals will take place in Bashkiria

The regional Ministry of Sports reported that the IX All-Russian Summer Universiade finals will take place in Bashkiria from June 16 to July 26.

The event venues will be Ufa, Salavat, and Novoabzakovo. At least 3,000 athletes, judges, and guests from Russia will attend the Universiade finals in Bashkiria.

Competitions are planned in 14 sports. Among them are badminton, boxing, volleyball (men, women), handball (men, women), judo, athletics, table tennis, swimming, rugby-7 (men, women), sambo, wrestling (freestyle, Greco-Roman ), orienteering, taekwondo, chess.

Thus, in Salavat, there will be chess, handball, volleyball, and table tennis tournaments. The best in orienteering will be determined in Novoabzakovo.

The IX All-Russian Summer Universiade finals will open on June 16 in Salavat and close on July 25 in Ufa.

“The holding of the IX All-Russian Summer Universiade is of great importance in the development of student sports, contributes to the popularization of physical culture, and forms an active lifestyle. We are confident that the competition will be held at a high organizational level and will leave unforgettable impressions in the memory of its participants,” said the Minister of Sports of Bashkiria, Ruslan Khabibov.

The All-Russian Summer Universiade is a sports event held to develop and popularize summer sports in Russia and increase student youth's physical fitness and skill.
