Over 1 billion rubles have been allocated for sports facilities construction in Bashkiria

Bashkiria received over one billion rubles from the federal budget to implement five sports facilities. The Minister of Sports of the Republic, Ruslan Khabibov, announced this at a meeting of the commission on public-private partnership (PPP) in the field of physical education and sports in the State Duma. He noted that the funds were raised thanks to the region’s participation in the PPP program.

Ruslan Khabibov discussed implementing PPP projects in Bashkiria that received federal subsidies in 2022 and 2023. He emphasized that the main partners are the republic's cities, which actively cooperate with investors.

“Since 2022, the Republic of Bashkortostan has been in the federal project “Business Sprint.” Out of eight applications, four projects were supported. In 2022, we managed to launch the construction of four projects. Of these, three are in the republic's capital, and one is in Neftekamsk. Partners today in the Republic of Bashkortostan are, first of all, municipalities. They actively interact with investors, primarily local investors from the republic's cities. We also prepared 21 applications. Of these, only one project has been identified, which was supported by Bashkortostan: a swimming pool in Oktyabrsky,” said Ruslan Khabibov to the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Physical Culture and Sports, Dmitry Svishchev.

Also, in 2024, out of three projects, one is under consideration by the Ministry of Sports of the Republic. We are discussing the Alga Physical Education and Sports Complex project in Sterlitamak.

Ruslan Khabibov added that the Ministry of Sports of Bashkiria is introducing several innovations. One of them was prepared with the State Assembly of the republic, which provides for introducing a tax benefit on the property of organizations for the objects of concession agreements and municipal-private partnerships in physical education and sports.
