Bashkiria wrestlers will represent Russia at world championship

Wrestlers from Bashkiria won two gold, three silver and three bronze medals at the Russian belt wrestling championship. The Ministry of Sports of the Republic spoke about the success of the athletes.

Olympia Makhiyanova and Olesya Semyonova are holders of gold medals. Denis Uskombaev, Evelina Yumagulova, and Ilnur Khafizov won silver medals and bronze medals went to Danil Bulatov, Imil Shamsullin, and Dina Tuigildina.

The wrestling tournament took place in Tomsk. 169 athletes from 23 regions of Russia competed for the title of strongest. The winners and silver medalists will defend Russia's honor at the World Championships in Kazan in the autumn.

Previously, the Bashkortostan mas-wrestling team won three silver and five bronze medals at the Russian championship in St. Petersburg, the Bashinform news agency reported.
