Athlete from Bashkiria won gold at Russian powerlifting championship in Tula

Another athlete from Bashkiria won a gold medal at the Russian powerlifting championship in Tula. The Ministry of Sports of the Republic reported the victory of Dmitry Selyanin, the sports master from Neftekamsk.

Dmitry Selyanin won among juniors in the bench press discipline in the weight category up to 66 kg. The athlete lifted a barbell weighing 200 kg, exceeding the standard of the Master of Sports of Russia by 20 kilograms. Airat Sufiyanov coaches the young athlete.

Notably, the powerlifting tournament in the capital of the Tula region witnessed a triumphant display by Egor Tyulkobaev and Gleb Gavrikov, adding to Bashkiria's glory. The young men not only secured gold medals but also met the standard for candidate master of sports, as reported by the Bashinform news agency.
