Wrestling Palace in Bashkiria will be opened at forum “Russia - a Sports Power”

During a working trip to Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, got acquainted with the progress of the construction of the Palace of Wrestling. This is one of the anniversary objects for the 450th anniversary of the republic's capital, which will be celebrated in 2024.

The wrestling palace is being built in the Oktyabrsky district of Ufa. The sports facility covers 29 thousand square meters. At the beginning of April, builders erected most of the structures and began facade and finishing work, particularly installing stained glass windows and cladding columns. In addition, the area adjacent to the Wrestling Palace is being improved.

The head of the region inspected the new building's appearance and acquainted himself with the layout of the future public space next to the sports facility.

Radiy Khabirov noted that after its opening, the Wrestling Palace will allow the holding of many sports competitions in various disciplines and cultural events. Thus, it will become an attraction for residents and guests in the capital of Bashkortostan.

“There will be a football field, a basketball court, and a park area. In winter, we fill the skating rink. That is, the result will be a multifunctional complex associated not only with wrestling. While on schedule, we plan to commission the facility in the fall of 2024. The opening of the Wrestling Palace will take place within the framework of the International Forum “Russia is a Sports Power,” said Radiy Khabirov, answering a question from the Bashinform News Agency.
