Bashkiria skiers won first awards at Winter Paralympic Games

Paralympians from Bashkiria won the first highest awards at the Winter Paralympic Games “We Are Together. Sport" in Khanty-Mansiysk. According to the Ministry of Sports RB, in cross-country skiing, Alexander Davidovich won a gold medal (among persons with lesions of the musculoskeletal system sport, distance 15 km), and Maxim Yanashev won a bronze medal (sport for the blind, distance 20 km).

The Winter Paralympic Games “We Are Together. Sport" started the day before, on March 19, in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District - Ugra, Sakhalin and Chelyabinsk regions. About 400 athletes from 23 constituent entities of the Russian Federation take part in the competition. They will compete for more than 70 sets of awards in six sports.

Earlier, the Bashinform news agency reported that athletes from Bashkiria showed excellent results at the Russian Alpine Skiing Championships among the blind in the slalom and giant slalom disciplines.
