Biathletes from Bashkiria, who won third place at the All-Russian Spartakiad, gave their medals to athletes from Belarus. The head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, appreciated the action of the Bashkir skiers. The head of the republic noted that this is what real men do.
“We are proud of the Bashkortostan biathlon team. In the relay race at the All-Russian Spartakiad, they came fourth, and the Belarusian team, which competed outside the competition, came third. According to the competition rules, our athletes received bronze medals. But they decided to give the awards to the Belarusians. Thanks to Eduard Latypov, Anton Babikov, Ilya Burlakov, and Alexander Babchin for this manly act. This is how fraternal countries should live,” wrote Radiy Khabirov on his Telegram channel.
