Irina Rodnina called the new sports complex in Ufa wonderful gift for children

The President of the All-Russian School Sports Federation, three-time Olympic champion in figure skating, Irina Rodnina, told Bashinform News Agency that the sports and recreation center opened in Ufa is a unique sports complex with an opportunity to practice different sports.

“It seems to me that this is a wonderful gift for children, for the capital of Bashkortostan. The more such complexes there are, the more our children will be ready for life and victories, personal achievements, and the honor of the country. I am pleased that children will have the opportunity to practice figure skating for free. I saw the girls skating; they were already performing well. I would like to wish them to enjoy their hobby. Sport is not only about points and medals; it helps you overcome difficulties and conquer yourself. Not everyone will become an Olympic champion, but they will be healthy people who can solve the most ambitious tasks,” said Irina Rodnina.

As Bashinform News Agency previously reported, the republic plans to discuss the prospects for developing children's sports.
