

Semyon Elistratov won the 1000-meter short track speed skating competition at Spartakiad of Strongest, the Minister of Sports of Bashkiria Ruslan Khabibov reported on his Telegram channel.
At the finish of the 1000-meter race, the Bashkir athlete was ahead of Vladimir Balbekov and Pavel Sitnikov.
“Now the athlete has a whole set of medals - gold, silver, bronze. “I congratulate Semyon and his coach, Andrey Maksimov, on his victory,” the Minister of Sports of Bashkiria wrote.
Spartakiad of Strongest is a large-scale tournament for Russia's 2023-2024 winter season. The competition is analogous to the Olympic Games. The competitions are scheduled on approximately the same dates as the XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi ten years ago. The Spartakiad medals will be awarded from February 9 to 18.
