Bashkir athletes won six medals at the Russian indoor athletics championship, which ended in Ulyanovsk. The republic's athletes were awarded one gold, three silver, and two bronze medals, the Ministry of Sports of Bashkiria reported. In total, 15 athletes represented the republic at the competition.
Ruslan Yudin became the winner in the 3,000-meter race among boys. The athlete was the first to reach the finish line, ahead of the athlete from the Nizhny Novgorod region. Karina Yanshaeva won the silver medal in the 3,000-meter race among the girls. Zakhar Neustroyev won the silver medal in the 60-meter race.
Dinar Gainetdinov and Joseph Rok became bronze medalists in the high jump among boys. Amelia Mikhailova won a silver medal with a personal best of 177 cm in the same discipline among girls.
The Bashinform News Agency reported the victory of Bashkir athletes at the deaf sports tournament held in Yekaterinburg.
