Canadian legionnaire "Salavat Yulaev" Nicholas Melosh KHL named best defender

The KHL named the best players of the 19th week of the 2023–2024 season. According to the commission’s decision results, Salavat Yulaev player Nicholas Melosh was recognized as the best defender among the laureates for the first time in his career.

Nicholas Meloche earned three points in three matches of the week. As noted in the League, Nicholas Melosh did not complete any matches with a negative utility indicator. In addition, the defender has four power moves, one blocked shot, and one tackle of the puck.

Also recognized as the best hockey players were goalkeeper Alexander Samoilov (Severstal) and forwards Maxim Karpov (Metallurg) and Nikita Kiryanov (Lokomotiv).

Remember that Canadian defender Nicholas Melosh signed a contract with Salavat Yulaev in October 2023. The athlete noted that moving to Salavat Yulaev was a new milestone. He couldn’t wait to discover the KHL, the Bashinform News Agency reported.
