Christmas cross-country skiing took place in Ufa
Traditional Christmas ski races took place in several districts of Ufa. One of the most significant events takes place annually in Mazhit Gafuri Park. This year, 240 people took to the start of the ski track. The oldest participant in the competition is 76 years old, and the youngest is six.
In addition to skiers, Nordic walking enthusiasts also became active participants in the race. The finishers with the most colorful and unusual costumes were awarded commemorative medals. In addition, all participants were treated to hot tea and aromatic porridge.
The day before, January 6, the traditional “Christmas Evening Race” took place on the ski slope of the Balanovo forest park area. It went through several stages in different age groups. The winners were presented with memorable gifts.
