Republican Minister of Sports announced some victories for republic’s athletes

Athletes from Bashkiria won several medals of various denominations last weekend. The Minister of Sports, Ruslan Khabibov, spoke about the success of the Bashkir athletes on his Telegram channel.

Thus, in Ufa, at the competitions of the third stage of the Russian Cup in short track, Semyon Elistratov won two gold medals at distances of 1000 meters and 1500 meters, a silver medal at a distance of 500 meters, and in the relay race. Also, in the relay race, the Bashkortostan team took first place. The Bashinform News Agency reported how Semyon Elistratov came to the sport earlier.

At international fencing competitions, which continue in St. Petersburg, Bashkir epee fencers Vladislav Zhuravlev won gold, and Valery Kornilov, Timur Safin, and Adelina Zagidullina won bronze. In the final match, the men's team of Bashkiria will meet with the team of the Samara region.

All Russian competitions in kayaking and canoeing for those under 24 years old are being held in Krasnodar. Sprinter Grigory Moryakov won a bronze medal in the 200-meter canoe race.
