Olympic fencing champion Adelina Zagidullina from Bashkiria won bronze at the international tournament “Foil of St. Petersburg”. The press service of the regional Ministry of Sports reported this.

“In the quarterfinals, Adelina Zagidullina won a landslide victory over the representative of the Kursk region, Kristina Samsonova - 15:4,” the Ministry of Sports of Bashkiria emphasized. “We congratulate our athlete and her coach, Yegor Popov.”

As Bashinform News Agency reported, a Fencing Center will open in Ufa in 2024. Let us recall that the decision to build a Fencing Center was made by the Head of the region, Radiy Khabirov, in August 2021 following a meeting with the winners and medalists of the XXXII Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, foil fencers Adelina Zagidullina and Timur Safin.
