The Russian Women's Boxing Championship will be held in Ufa from November 3 to 12. 200 athletes from 49 regions of Russia will take part in the competition. The government of the republic discussed preparedness for the event. Prime Minister of Bashkiria Andrey Nazarov noted that the Championship will be held internationally.
“The event is important. We do everything necessary for the republic. To support our athletes and to show the level with which Bashkortostan always holds such events. Currently, preparations for the competition are at the finish line. All the regulations required by the Russian Boxing Federation have been fulfilled since the level of the competition and the requirements are international,” said Andrey Nazarov.
The decision to hold the competition in Ufa was made after the triumphant victory of the Bashkir athlete Azalia Amineva at the Russian Championship. Let us note that Bashkiria will host women's boxing competitions for the first time. Within a year, a women's boxing team was formed, which, in addition to Azalia Amineva, included two more strong athletes - two-time world champion, Olympic bronze medalist from Dagestan Zemfira Magomedova, Russian champion 2022 from the Krasnodar Territory Nadezhda Golubeva. All of them will represent our republic.
The competition will be held at the Rima Batalova Sports Training Center. The opening ceremony of the Russian Women's Boxing Championship will take place in Ufa on November 4. The final fights and the award ceremony are scheduled for November 11.
