Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria Andrey Nazarov spoke on his Telegram channel about how sports develop in the republic. The reason for this was the summing up of the results of the festival of the All-Russian physical culture and sports complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” among state and municipal employees, which Bashinform News Agency previously talked about.
He noted that a lot is being done in the republic to develop sports. In the regions and cities of Bashkiria, more than 13 thousand sports facilities are available to anyone who wants to engage in physical education and professional sports. These are stadiums, indoor ice palaces, sports and recreation centers, swimming pools, sports grounds, and fitness centers.
“Regarding the number of sports facilities, we are second only to Moscow. And we don’t stop there and are systematically developing the sports infrastructure. We strive to have as many sports grounds as possible in the yard near the house, within walking distance. We have taken a comprehensive approach to solving this issue. As part of the “Bashkir Yards” program alone, more than 120 sports grounds have been built over the past two years. It’s nice to see young guys playing football, volleyball, and exercising in the yard,” noted Andrey Nazarov.
