Sambo Tournament opened in Ufa
The International Sambo Tournament “Grand Prix” for the prizes of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan opened in Ufa. This is a major sporting event, which once again emphasizes the significant role of our republic in the Russian and world sports arena. The competition will occur until September 18 at the Rima Batalova Sports Training Center.
The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, spoke about this on social media.
“Bashkir Sambo school trainee successfully performs at Russian and international competitions. And we are trying to develop this sport in all directions.
We actively implement the federal party project “Za Sambo” and the federal project “Sambo to School”; today, 37 regional schools are already participating.
The wrestling palace, which we are actively building, will become a new home for Sambo athletes. This discipline is as essential for us as other types of struggle,” wrote the Head of the Republic.
