Ecuador athletes presented Head of Bashkiria with national souvernirs as sign of respect and friendship

Athletes from Ecuador presented the Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov with a traditional headdress and necklace as a sign of respect and friendship. Athletes also wrote a heartfelt message to the organizers of the Summer Deaf Games.

As a reminder, from July 23 to August 2, Ufa hosts the International Summer Deaf Games "We are Together. Sport". The solemn opening ceremony of the Games will take place on July 24 at the Ufa-Arena.

743 athletes from Brazil, France, Turkey, Spain, the USA, Israel, Kenya, the Philippines, Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Vietnam, and other countries will arrive in the capital of Bashkiria - a total of 30. The largest delegation is Russia, which includes 495 athletes.

Athletes will have to compete in 21 sports (badminton, handball, basketball, athletics, table tennis, swimming, cycling - mountain biking, cycling - road, shooting, orienteering, volleyball, karate, taekwondo, football, freestyle wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, judo, sambo, tennis, beach volleyball, and bowling). The competitions will be held in Ufa at 13 sports facilities.

Earlier, the athlete Brady Perry from the United States of America, a participant in the Summer Deaf Games, "We are Together. Sport" stated that politics and sport should not interfere with each other, the Bashinform News Agency reported. 

"I believe that sports and politics should not interfere with each other and should be treated separately," said Brady Perry.
