"Republican sports award" plan to establish in Bashkiria. Prime Minister of the Republic Andrey Nazarov spoke about this at a government meeting. He noted that support for athletes and coaches is one of the priority areas of state policy in physical culture and sports.

“Since 2019, a system has been formed in the Republic for the selection and support of talented athletes and their coaches. We continue to improve this work, which is already showing a positive effect. For sports results achieved, athletes and their coaches are annually paid financial incentives and scholarships for athletes under 18. More than 150 million rubles are provided for implementing such a set of financial support measures in the budget of the Republic for the current year,” said the head of the regional Cabinet.

As the Republican Government press service informed Bashinform News Agency, the draft government decree "On the Republican Sports Award" was developed by the Republican Ministry of Sports to identify and support the best athletes, coaches, teachers, and specialists in the field of physical culture and sports, encourage the best sports federations and municipalities.

According to the Minister of Sports of Bashkiria Ruslan Khabibov, the condition for determining the winners of the award is the presence of outstanding achievements in adaptive sports, high-performance sports, the development of physical culture and sports, and in promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Candidates for the award can be municipal districts and urban districts of the Republic, physical culture and sports organizations, athletes, coaches, teachers, specialists, and organizers in physical culture and sports.

The winners will be awarded diplomas and cash prizes.

Based on the results of the meeting, it was decided to support the proposal of the Ministry of Sports and approve the submitted draft resolution of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan "On the Republican Sports Award", as well as to hold the ceremony of presenting the first "Republican Sports Award" to the laureates in a solemn atmosphere within the framework of the meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sports under the Head of the Republic.
