Athletes and coaches will be entitled to lifetime scholarships for Russian teams winning

The government of Bashkiria signed a resolution approving the provision on the payment of state sports scholarships of the republic to athletes-winners and prize-winners of the Olympic, Paralympic, and Deaflympics as part of the national teams of the Russian Federation, as well as their coaches. This Bashinform News Agency was informed by the Ministry of Sports of Bashkiria.

According to the document, athletes will receive a lifetime scholarship of 30 thousand rubles for first place in the Russian national teams. For the second place - 25 thousand rubles, for the third - 20 thousand rubles.

Coaches who have prepared the winners and prize-winners will be paid 50% of the scholarship amount for a participant in international competitions for the highest result.

“This is a significant step that will help the republic to support our athletes and coaches. The Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan will continue to actively support the development of sports in the region and create conditions for the development of professional athletes and coaches. We hope that the new scholarships will become an additional incentive for our athletes and help strengthen the republic’s position in the world sports community,” said Ruslan Khabibov, Minister of Sports of Bashkiria.
