Foil fencer from Bashkiria Vladislav Zhuravlev won Russian championship
Foil fencer from Bashkiria Vladislav Zhuravlev defeated the reigning Russian champion from Samara Kirill Borodachev in the final match. The Bashinform News Agency learned about the victory of the Bashkir fencer at the Russian Championship from a message on the Russian Fencing Federation Telegram channel.
The gold medal was presented to Vladislav Zhuravlev by the President of the Russian Fencing Federation, head coach of the Russian fencing team, two-time Olympic champion Ilgar Mamedov, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR, Olympic champion and ten-time world champion Alexander Romankov, Olympic champion Aida Shanaeva.
Kirill Borodachev received a silver medal, and the third step was shared by the Bashkir foil fencer Timur Arslanov and Zakhar Kozlov from St. Petersburg.
