Bashkiria received over 1 billion rubles under the Business Sprint project. The first ones within the federal project "Business Sprint" framework were signed in late February - early March of this year in Moscow at the international sports forum "Russia - a sports power", the republic's government told the Bashinform News Agency.
“7 billion rubles were allocated to finance the sports industry in 2022. We have raised over 1 billion rubles to construct four sports facilities. This is one of the best results in Russia,” Prime Minister of Bashkiria Andrey Nazarov noted.
According to Andrey Nazarov, the region will receive 748 million rubles from the federal budget, which will be used to build new sports facilities under the Business Sprint project. Investors who have agreed to a public-private partnership will invest more than 150 million rubles in construction, and a comparable amount will be added to the republic’s budget.
As a result, with the support of federal funding, a universal sports complex and two sports and recreation complexes will be built in Ufa. A sports center with a swimming pool and a games room will appear in Neftekamsk.
Recall that in November 2022, a “smart” sports ground was opened in Sterlitamak as part of the federal project “Business Sprint”. A modern sports facility is located on the territory of school No. 33. The same site will soon appear in the capital of Bashkiria. In addition, seven new small sports grounds were opened last year. They opened in the republic's Aurgazinsky, Birsky, Davlekanovsky, Zilairsky, Mechetlinsky, Mishkinsky, and Ufimsky regions. Also, a significant overhaul of the Trud stadium in Baymak was completed in the republic.
In Bashkiria, on the initiative of the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, the project "Rural Coach" is being implemented. It started in 2020. At the same time, the republic became the first region in Russia where such a project to support sports coaches working in rural areas is being successfully implemented.
“Thanks to this project, we supported 104 rural coaches with payments of 600,000 rubles each. Starting this year, payments amount to 1 million rubles. This practice was recognized as the best in the country. Now it is already being used in more than 20 regions of the country,” said Andrey Nazarov.
“Each athlete’s success depends on the mentor and coach. Talent without diligence and striving cannot exist, just like an athlete without a coach. Our republic is the first in several country subjects to adopt the “Rural Coach” program. It is designed to attract young and experienced coaches to the republic's regions. In 2023, another 55 coaches will receive a payment of 1 million rubles,” added the Minister of Sports of Bashkiria Ruslan Khabibov.
