Fedor Emelianenko will arrive in Ufa for Russian MMA championship opening

The championship of Russia among juniors 18-20 years old and unofficial all-Russian competitions among juniors 18-20 years old in mixed martial arts (MMA) will be held in Ufa. The tournament of young fighters will be held on the eve of celebrating the 78th anniversary of Victory Day on May 6 and 7 at the Ufa Arena. The honorary guest of the competition will be the President of the Union of Mixed Martial Arts of Russia, Advisor to the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation, and multiple world champions in mixed martial arts, Fedor Emelianenko.

Based on the results of the competition in the capital of Bashkiria, the composition of the MMA Union of Russia team among juniors will be determined, and the national team among juniors will be formed. The championship winners will join the national teams and compete in international competitions among friendly countries in 2023.

In addition, a charity event will be held as part of the Russian championship. Funds from the sale of tickets will be used to help sick children with oncological diseases undergoing treatment at the Republican Children's Clinical Hospital of Ufa.

We add that the legend of the octagon Fedor Emelianenko is not the first time he comes to Bashkiria. He took part in the grand opening of the Russian championship in mixed martial arts MMA in 2017, the Bashinform News Agency reported. In Ufa, pupils of the Olympic reserve school No. 11 showed Fedor Emelianenko, a master class, shooting from the Bashkir bow. And the founder of the Sharp Archer movement, Yulai Galiullin, told the MMA fighter about the history of the Bashkir archers, the wars in which the Bashkirs took part, the revival of traditions, and clearly showed the structure of the bow.
