Semyon Yelistratov won gold at Russian Short Track Speed Skating Championship
Semyon Yelistratov from Ufa won a gold medal at the Russian Short Track Speed Skating Championship. The capital of Bashkiria hosted the tournament. For several days, the best athletes of Russia competed for sets of awards at individual distances and in the relay.
Semyon Elistratov became the best among the Bashkir short-track skaters. The Olympic champion showed the best result at a distance of 1500 meters (2.11.786 seconds)
Recall that the championship of Russia was held in Bashkiria for the second time. In 2016 it was held in Sterlitamak.
We add that earlier, Semyon Elistratov showed excellent results in the final of the Russian Cup in a short track in Rybinsk. At 1,500 meters and 3,000 meters, he took 1st place, at a distance of 500 meters - 3rd place, 1,000 meters - 2nd place, the Bashinform News Agency reported.
