Last ski marathon of this season was held in Ufa

The Ufa ski marathon was held for the 38th time on the territory of the Biathlon sports complex on March 12. Athletes competed at distances of 5, 10, 30, and 50 kilometers. Young skiers overcame 50, 100, 400 meters, and 1-kilometer distances.

"Interest in the Ufa ski marathon is growing every year. This year, 700 athletes of all ages participated in the competition’s start. The event is part of the RussiaLoppet series of ski marathons and attracts the attention of the strongest skiers from many regions of Russia," said the Head of the city department for physical culture and sports, Egor Sorokin.

According to the competition results, Dmitry Bagrashov from Izhevsk won the 50 km race among men, Andrey Babichev from Pereslavl took second place, and Andrey Filippov from Ufa closed the top three.

Among women, Oksana Yakovleva from Yaroslavl was the first to overcome the distance, and Natalia Babchina from Ufa won the silver medal.

Alexander Rudakov from Chelyabinsk became the absolute champion at a distance of 30 kilometers among men, and Elena Mitsan from Magnitogorsk won first place among women.

All participants received a branded starter package with memorable winter-themed souvenirs. A well-deserved medal and a hot lunch awaited the skiers at the finish line.
