The Russian Greco-Roman wrestling championship ended in Ufa the day before. The tournament was held at the Rima Batalova sports training center. It was dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games, where the wrestlers of the USSR national team triumphantly won 8 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze medals in two types of wrestling, securing the first team place for the Soviet Union team, the Bashinform News Agency reported.

The Russia Greco-Roman wrestling championship was held in Bashkiria for the first time. It can become regular after the completion of the wrestling center in Ufa. Recall that a large-scale facility is being built in the capital on the initiative of the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov.

Let us add that a new hall for wrestling has recently opened in Ufa. Radiy Khabirov noted at its opening that children can exercise in the gym free of charge under the guidance of experienced and eminent trainers. He stressed that such centers would continue to open.
