

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on holding the Years of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports in 2022-2023, the Ministry of Sports of Bashkiria reported on its Telegram channel. The document was published on the Internet portal of legal information on October 17.
“To further develop Russian-Chinese relations and expand bilateral ties in the field of physical culture and sports, hold the Years of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports in 2022-2023,” the document says.
In addition to developing relations between the two countries in the field of sports, the Russian side of the organizing committee must approve a plan of events within a month, one of which, by order of Vladimir Putin, will be a university sports festival with the participation of teams from the BRICS, SCO and CIS countries. It will be held in Yekaterinburg in 2023.
