Ufa athlete ran 3 km hurdles faster than world champion
Eduard Batyrshin, a trainee of the Olympic reserve sports school No. 21, became the silver medalist of the Russian Athletics Championship, the telegram channel "Sports Bashkortostan" reports.
Eduard Batyrshin covered the distance of 3000 meters hurdles in 8:23 minutes. The winner of the championship was Maxim Yakushev (Sverdlovsk region), and his result was 8:21 minutes.
It is worth noting that both athletes ran the distance faster than the 2022 world champion Moroccan Soufian El-Bakkali, who ran the same distance in Eugene for 8:25 minutes.
