HC Salavat Yulaev will focus on last two seasons style

Today Ufa hosted an open training session for Salavat Yulaev players. After it, Salavat Yulaev's head coach Viktor Kozlov spoke about the team's methods of playing in the upcoming season.

New hockey players came to Salavat Yulaev, and before that, they used a different style of play, Viktor Kozlov said. At the same time, the Salavat Yulaev mentor noted that he liked the philosophy introduced by Tommy Lyamsa (the Finnish specialist left Salavat Yulaev in April 2022 of his own free will - Bashinform).

As for the renewal of the coaching staff, Viktor Kozlov said that he and Konstantin Koltsov were working with the forwards and focused on the powerplay. Nikolay Tsulygin is working with the defense players and is responsible for the play shorthanded.

“I believe in the potential of the players we have. I think we will be strong in team interactions. We will all work both in attack and defense,” Viktor Kozlov summed up.

Hockey players of Salavat Yulaev came back from vacation on July, 12. In preparation for the new season, the players underwent an in-depth medical examination at the Republican Cardiology Center.
