Triathlon and Open Water Swimming Championship were held in Ufa
On July 9, the Bashkiria Triathlon and Open Water Swimming Championship took place on the embankment of the Belaya River for the first time. The program included cycling, running, and open water swimming.
According to the mayor's office, 122 strongest athletes over 15 years old from the regions of the republic, as well as Chuvashia, Udmurtia, Moscow, and St. Petersburg, became participants in the event.
Athletes in the most difficult and protracted Olympic distance had to overcome over 50 kilometers - running, cycling, and swimming. Dmitry Aiguzin won the gold medal among men in a tough competition. Among women, Anna Sukhanova rose to the first step of the podium in this event. Both athletes are representatives of Bashkortostan. The winners and prize-winners were awarded cups, medals, and certificates.
