Canadian defender Ryan Murphy will join Salavat Yulaev's roster in the new season. The hockey player signed a contract for one season, the press service of the Bashkir club reports.

Last season, the defender played in the system of the Detroit Red Wings NHL club, playing in the AHL for the Grand Rapids Griffins. He played a total of 175 matches in the National Hockey League, in which he scored 43 (8 + 35) points.

It is noteworthy that Murphy is quite familiar with "Ufa-Arena". Ryan was a member of the Canadian national team at the 2013 Youth World Championships in Ufa.
