Ufa native Aigul Idrisova won Russian Rapid Draughts Championship for fifth time

Ufa native Aigul Idrisova won the Russian Rapid Draughts Championship for the fifth time. Rustam Shayakhmetov, press secretary of the Draughts Federation RB and the central draughts club "Bashkortostan", shared this information with the Bashinform News Agency.

Aliya Aminova from Ishimbay was third, Ufa native Aigiza Mukhametyanova took fourth place.

“Among the Bashkir draughts players, Matryona Nogovitsyna from Yakutia, the current world champion in classical international draughts and a three-time winner of world championships in this discipline, was in second place,” Rustam Shayakhmetov said.

Competitions were held the day before in the Moscow region, as part of the Russian Championship in international draughts among men and women.

The prize trio last year at the Russian Rapid Draughts Championship in Loo was exactly the same: Idrisova was the first, Aminova was the second, and Nogovitsyna was the third.

In 2020, the Ufa athlete Aigul Idrisova won both the Russian and the world championship in the rapid draughts.

Aigul Idrisova's first victory at the Russian championship took place in 2012, then in 2018, and only then there was a series of three victories in 2020-2022.

“The fifth victory of Aigul Idrisova at the Russian Championships in rapid made it possible to share the first or second place with Tamara Tansykkuzhina. The seven-time world champion Tansykkuzhina won the first places in the rapid game championships in 1999, 2000, 2008, 2015 and 2019,” Shayakhmetov added.

Today, the best athletes in the blitz game were determined. Thus, the representative of the "Bashkortostan" draughts club Aigul Idrisova won the silver medal. The winner was the young Tunaara Fedorova from the republic of Sakha-Yakutia, who at the age of 14 in 2019 won the Russian championship in this event for the first time. Her countrywoman Ayanika Kolodeznikova won bronze.

The top ten strongest athletes representing Bashkortostan, Kristina Osipova (eighth place) and Aliya Aminova (ninth place). Junior Daniil Ilyin (Ufa) took fourth place - the best result in his career.
