Deputy Prime Minister Chernyshenko advised Bashkiria to participate in "smart" sports grounds creation

Minister of Sports of Bashkiria Ruslan Khabibov at the international forum “We Are Together. Sport” presented the stand of the republic to the vice-premier of the government of the country Dmitry Chernyshenko. The Minister of Sports reported that the facilities prepared for the World Volleyball Championship are being used for regional competitions. Also, the project “Rural Trainer” is being successfully implemented in the republic, a program has been launched to support non-profits through the allocation of grants for sports and mass work. The construction of a wrestling center, a rowing slalom center, and a fencing center is underway, and a gymnastics center is ready to be put into operation.

“The republic should actively participate in the creation of “smart” sports grounds within walking distance as part of the new federal project “Business Sprint”. An additional 2.4 billion rubles will be allocated for its implementation through the redistribution of funds after the cancellation of international competitions this year,” the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian government said.

According to Dmitry Chernyshenko, at the exhibition, he saw Russian manufacturers who were engaged in the manufacture of sports equipment and inventory.

“The government will support them to ensure import substitution in the sports industry and maintain the level of achievements of our athletes. In addition, despite numerous restrictions, international competitions continue to be prepared and held in the regions. It is necessary to approach their organization with all responsibility and hold competitions at the highest level. Due to the support of the government in the regions, the construction of new sports facilities does not stop. We are making every effort to create comfortable conditions for sports,” the Deputy Prime Minister stated.

Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that the Business Sprint project was being implemented as part of a public-private partnership with the involvement of interested commercial organizations.
