Ufa hockey club "Salavat Yulaev" dropped out of the Gagarin Cup.

On Sunday at home, the Salavat Yulaev team lost to Traktor Chelyabinsk with a score of 1:2 in the sixth match of the series 1/2 final of the KHL Eastern Conference playoffs.

The match began at the highest pace, which was kept by both teams. The hosts surpassed the Chelyabinsk team in desire and activity, creating several good chances, but the completion of the attacks left much to be desired, the Salavat Yulaev hockey club press service said.

At the beginning of the second twenty-minute period, the team of Tomi Lamsa had the first power play in this match. They did not manage to score, but the game itself was very engaging.

Bashkirov had a great opportunity before the middle of the period but was blocked by the Chelyabinsk defender. After that, the initiative passed to the guests, and one of their attacks ended with a goal. A little later, the opponent used the moment in position for the second time in the game.

Almost from the very beginning of the third period, the Salavat Yulaev actively went forward and twice gained a power play. Tomi Lamsa's guys played brightly for the most part, with lots of shots, however, Roman Villa was extraordinarily good.

Naumenkov and Kadeikin exchanged perfect passes, having won back one goal for Salavat. In the end, our team stormed the gates of Traktor, but, unfortunately, failed to score more.
