Bashkiria athlete won Russian Triathlon Cup running just in socks
An athlete from Bashkiria Ilnar Khabibullin showed his strong will at the Russian Triathlon Cup in Zelenodolsk. At the start, the lace broke on his running spikes. Ilnar had no choice but to pick up his shoes and run two laps, which was three kilometers, in just socks.
“This was over the snow and in 16 degree frost. Ilnar showed an amazing will, not only running barefoot in the snow, but also winning competitions in the category of 18-19 years old,” the press service of the Triathlon Federation of the Republic of Bashkortostan reported.
