First participants of Beijing Olympic Games returned to Ufa
The first participants of the Beijing Olympic Games returned to Ufa. Fans of women's hockey, the Minister of Sports of Bashkiria Ruslan Khabibov, and the sports director of the Agidel team Alexander Semak met Veronika Korzhakova, Maria Pechnikova, Maria Sorokina, Olga Sosina, Anna Shibanova, Maria Batalova, Polina Luchnikova at the Ufa airport.
According to the Minister of Sports RB Ruslan Khabibov, the whole of Bashkiria supported the girls.
The hockey players admitted that they did not expect such a warm welcome at the airport and thanked the fans for their support.
Recall that seven Agidel hockey players represented the women's Olympic team of the ROC in Beijing. The girls lost to Switzerland in the quarterfinals and took fifth place in the tournament.
