Biathlete Eduard Latypov won bronze at Beijing Olympics
Ufa native Eduard Latypov won bronze in the men's 12.5 km biathlon pursuit at the Beijing Olympics on February 13.
"It was a very tough race! Just one miss," the Olympic Committee noted.
Maxim Tsvetkov, Eduard Latypov, Daniil Serokhvostov and Alexander Loginov participated in the event.
"Thank you to my family, all relatives and friends, our country! You are the best fans," commented Eduard Latypov after the race. "The weather conditions were challenging, but I tried my best in the shooting. It was a tough race in terms of functionality – gliding was very bad, but I'm happy now!
Recall that 25-year-old Alexander Bolshunov has already won one gold and one silver medal at the Beijing Olympics. Denis Spitsov became the silver medalist.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, on February 12, Russian skiers Yulia Stupak, Natalya Nepryaeva, Tatyana Sorina and Veronika Stepanova won gold in the relay race.
In total, 109 sets of medals in 15 sports will be competed for at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, which will end on February 20.
