ROC men's ice hockey team scored second victory at Beijing Olympics

The ROC men's hockey team met with the Danes in the group stage of the 2022 Olympics after a minimal victory over the Swiss (1: 0). This rival defeated the Czech Republic (2: 1) the day before.

The Russians again took the lead in this match. In the second period, Pavel Karnaukhov opened the scoring. Anton Slepyshev threw from the middle of the attacking zone, and after a rebound, his partner scored the puck into the Danes' net - 1:0. The opponents cheered up after the missed goal and the shorthanded game, and increased attacks of Ivan Fedotov's net.

At the end of the match, the Danes tried to save the game and removed the goalkeeper. Semyonov hit an empty net five seconds before the final siren - 2: 0 and the second victory of the ROC team at the Beijing Olympics.

Alexey Zhamnov's wards will play the next match against the Czech Republic on February 12 at 6.10 pm Ufa time.
