Radiy Khabirov spoke live with Olympians from Bashkiria

“We could not help it and decided to take two or three minutes of your time to support you”, Radiy Khabirov said during his live speech with the President of the Biathlon Union Viktor Maigurov and Bashkir biathlete Eduard Latypov.

The Head of the Republic noted that the atmosphere of celebration and incredible support of all Olympic athletes reigned in the region.

“You will come back on the 20th; we will hug you all, congratulate you, and you will tell us how was it there. Now, just accept the words of encouragement from us, nothing else,” Radiy Khabirov said.

 “Our youth, who are preparing for the Spartakiad, train on the same track in Beloretsk as Eduard and also plan to win the next competition,” Nikitin emphasized.

Maigurov noted that biathlon was developing in Bashkortostan, and traditions were being set up here for future generations.

“Eduard, tomorrow hundreds, tens of thousands of boys and girls will follow you, be proud of you, and they will go to gyms and play sports. You are setting an example for them!” the Head of the Region said.

Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that biathlete Eduard Latypov had won a bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics in the mixed relay. Latypov starts in the sprint race on February 12.
