Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov will miss sprint race
Russian skier, Olympic champion of the Games in Beijing Alexander Bolshunov decided to skip the sprint race and concentrate on the next starts. His Coach Elena Vyalbe announced this.
“The decision was very difficult on his part, and I can say that I bow to his professionalism,” the coach said. “We discussed the situation from all sides, I supported Sasha.”
Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that Alexander Bolshunov brought the first gold medal to the ROC team at the Beijing Olympics, winning the skiathlon by a huge margin.
