

Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in China, RIA Novosti reports. The visit program includes participation in the opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympics and negotiations with Chinese leader Xi Jinping. Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the meeting of the heads of the two countries would take place on Friday before the opening ceremony of the Games, which would be held at 3.00 pm Moscow time. He also said that the talks would be full-fledged, full-scale.
Putin and Xi Jinping are expected to discuss international issues, including Russia's dialogue with the United States and NATO and ideas about security guarantees, and compare notes on the main areas of bilateral cooperation, including energy, investment cooperation, space, and others.
14 athletes from Bashkiria went to the Winter Olympics in Beijing as part of the Russian team.
