IBU named Eduard Latypov as most popular Russian biathlete
The International Biathlon Union has published a rating of popular biathletes - users of the IBU digital platforms. Bashkir athletes Eduard Latypov and Kristina Reztsova became the most mentioned among Russians.
"The IBU has launched a new application and updated the website, through which many fans are already following the competition," the union reported to TASS. "Ten thousand fans have already downloaded the app. Russian fans are actively using the app and the new website. Compared to last season, the number of sessions from Russia has increased by 78 percent."
Note that Eduard Latypov is currently the leader of the Russian national team, ranking sixth in the overall standings at the World Cup. The Bashkir biathlete misses the January stages of the tournament due to COVID-19.
