2022 is declared Year of Volleyball in Bashkortostan

This was announced on Monday by the Minister of Sports RB Ruslan Khabibov at a briefing session in the republic's government.

"At the Council on the Development of Physical Culture and Sports, the Head of Bashkortostan supported the idea of ​​introducing a new industry tradition in the republic - annually declaring each next year as the year of one of the sports. The Ministry of Sports of Russia has already used a similar practice - 2021 was the year of the GTO ("fit for labor and defense") complex, in connection with the 90th anniversary. In our republic, 2022 has been declared the Year of Volleyball", Ruslan Khabibov reported.

He also recalled that in 2022 Ufa would host the stage of the World Volleyball Championship and the League of Nations international volleyball tournament among women's teams.
