

Leyla Tabermakova and Kamilla Baiburina from the Ufa sports complex "Tolpar" became prize-winners in composition competitions at the European Youth Chess Championships.
The European Youth Championships are being held in the Serbian town of Nova Sad. The tournament program includes several types of competitions, including the best solution of chess compositions. 12-year-old Leila Tabermakova completed all the proposed tasks and eventually won a silver medal.
Kamilla Baiburina was awarded third place by the judges' decision in the competition among female chess players under 18 years old. It is not the first time that young chess players from Tolpar have participated in the European Championships, but never before have they achieved such high results.
In addition to the composition competitions, the Ufa athletes played in the rapid chess tournament and reached the first half of the tournament table of the best female players of the continent.
