

The European Skyrunning Championships in São Pedro do Sul kicks off on November 19. Eleven athletes will represent the Russian national team. Among them is a participant from Bashkiria - Zulfiya Gaynanova. The girl will have to cover a distance of 65 km with a climb of 6500 meters.
Skyrunning – the competitions in high-speed climbing, high-altitude running, which are held according to the rules of the International Skyrunning Federation. Following the rules, the competitions are held on mountains with a height of at least 2000 meters with a minimum average slope of 6% and must include sections with a slope of 30%. The skyrunning trail includes rocky areas not higher than category II according to the UIAA classification. Today skyrunning is coordinated by the International Skyrunning Federation, which hosted the FSA in 2008.
