Defender of the hockey club "Salavat Yulaev" Shakir Mukhamadullin joined the final composition of the Russian national team to participate in the Karjala Cup. The coaching staff is taking a young squad for the first stage of the Eurotour to Helsinki.
"It includes candidates for a World Junior Championship, as well as for the first team, including the Olympics. This will be a good stage to test the players and prepare them for the competition. The captain will be Dmitry Voronkov, assistants - Marat Khusnutdinov and Alexander Nikishin. I cannot say about the goalkeepers, but we are counting for Askarov at World Junior Championship, so he will get some practice in Helsinki anyway," the team's acting head coach Oleg Bratash said.
The schedule of the Russian national team's game in the Karjala Cup (Ufa time):
November 11, 9:30 pm - Finland
November 13, 5:00 pm - Sweden
November 14, 4:30 pm - Czech Republic.
